Business Architecture Manager Burberry London

The Business Architecture Manager is responsible for all Business Analysis and Business capability requests that could or will be delivered via the IT Retail Solutions teams at Burberry. The purpose of the BA team is to ensure that strategic initiatives and programmes are articulated into meaningful project scopes, removing ambiguity from requirements before features are developed.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Architecture for IT Retail

Informing the Retail roadmap by guiding stakeholders in splitting strategic initiatives and programmes of work into meaningful projects
Supporting the scoping of projects and programmes in the early inception stage, potentially supporting business owners in the articulation of key benefits, critical processes and high-level solution requirements
Partnering with technical architecture to firm up the roadmap schedule in alignment with the technology roadmap
Evolving & help formalise Business Architecture Ways of Working in partnership with the BA Managers in Digital, ERP and Services
Evolving Ways of Working, by identifying differences between Retail domain and other delivery domains, and formalising this in standard operating procedures.

People Management in IT Retail

Coaching, training and performance management of team
Org planning & recruitment of Retail BAs
Partnering with key stakeholders to ensure team success.

Pipeline Management for IT Retail

Partnering with key stakeholders to ensure a healthy flow of projects through the delivery pipelines & to reinforce consistency in delivery model
Participate in the governance of resource allocation to pipelines, providing visibility on BA capacity and work load estimates for new assignments.
Support pipeline velocity by helping the leading Business Analyst on a delivery streams, through each stage of a projects life cycle: clarifying deliverables and timelines
Provide the Retail BA team with visibility about changed project prioritisation or new projects in the different delivery streams
Identify resource shortages to support the sign-off of new stream setup or stream re-allocation.

PERSON PROFILE

Strong partnership and presentation skills
Open, inquisitive mind
Ability to create structure and lead others
Bachelor’s degree (ideally in a traditional fields such as the sciences, engineering, or economics)
Experience in Business Analysis for large projects or programmes of work
Proven experience in Retail and Consumer Goods
Strong experience leading others
Formal training in Agile scoping and delivery frameworks
Experience in project management
Background in strategic management consulting
Experience from the creative industries.
