Visual Merchandising Section Manager Marks and Spencer Biggleswade

Job Description: • 2-minute read •
Whether you're taking charge of a section in a larger store or several sections across a region, you'll oversee our visual propositions and ensure they have an impact. This means bringing a mix of creative flair and commercial nous to your work; devising displays that wow our customers into buying. Showcasing our products, your focus will be on drawing attention and capturing imaginations. It's how you’ll get your stylist teams to think too, inspiring them with up-to-the-minute knowledge of what’s hot on the high street and beyond.
Of course, a big part of this is knowing what our competitors are up to, but what matters more than anything is how you interpret trends for the M&S customer. To that end, a lot of your success will be down to how you communicate store-level strategy and manage your team of up to 10 people.

About you

Visual Section Managers are not made overnight. That’s why we’ll be looking for a strong track record in a similar role. You’ll also need that all-important creative spark that will get your displays noticed by precisely the right customers. Salary levels range from £18k to £28k, depending on your skills and experience, as well as the size of the stores or region you work in.

This role is suited to candidates who have managed a small store or a section within a large store. If you have direct line management experience in Visual Merchandising, you may be better suited to either the Visual Store Manager or Regional Visual Store Manager roles.
