Assistant Creative Director - Parker Williams Design - London

Job description

This is a chance for a Design Director, looking for their next challenge, to join the team in our busy West London studio. We are a small team with lots of budding creatives from the designers to the account team.

We specialise in retail brand and FMCG packaging design and have an exciting and growing mix of retail and branded accounts throughout the world. We are a small, collaborative and close-knit team. We are looking for a like-minded, experienced designer director who has experience of both branded and retail branding.

The role:

Creative inspiration for the design team and also showing them how its done
Overseeing and directing design projects from sketchbook (and we do sketch) to liasing with the production team
Creative visual planning to guide and inspire the studio
Help build the team through mentoring and recruitment
Building client relationships and helping us get new ones, involvement in pitches and creds
Adding an extra creative spark to a vibrant, keen and young studio
Ultimately help build and influence the creative future of Parkerwilliams and hopefully yourself!!

Desired Skills and Experience

You should have:


A passion for branding and design.
Be full of ideas and smiles, we all try and enjoy our days at work and can be a bit silly
Experience of small and large teams, ideally with experience of managing both retail and branded packaging projects.
Excellent design skills and happy to be hands on
As well as a creative head you need to be organised and can manage scheduling and budgets and work closely with the Account team
Good client facing experience and great communication skills to establish and grow client relations.
A can-do, personable attitude- this is not a role for someone who doesn’t want to roll up their sleeves and muck in. We all pick up phones and make each other cups of tea. Even walk the dog sometimes
