Yahoo is looking for a dynamic and committed team player to join the Audience Specialist team to develop the audience and programmatic knowledge and sales of our reseller markets.

Acting as a sales specialist, you will manage a specific portfolio of Resellers, Trading Desks and direct advertisers. You will grow revenues on your portfolio, ensure the Resellers are familiar with all Yahoo audience and programmatic solutions and platforms and support the sell of our new products such as Gemini Ads (our Native ads offer) and the Brightroll DSP & Exchange. You will also support the reseller team on important pitches in order to deliver the best in class client responses to briefs when it comes to programmatic, targeting and data.
You will be working closely with internal Yahoo teams (such as Audience Ads Analysts, Supply Managers, Ad Operations, Audience Ads Marketplace leads, Reseller Managers) and the Resellers themselves to ensure the needs of the clients are met.


Your Day
- Providing specialist sales support to the general sales team & resellers around all audience targeting products. This includes both brand and performance campaigns that use data to inform targeting
- Act as the sales lead for all programmatic revenues. General channels for programmatic revenues will include programmatic buyers using a third party DSP as well as any buyers using Yahoo’s own buying platform (where the remit for the audience specialist is specific to Yahoo’s inventory)
- Revenue reporting & forecasting for the audience business
- Developing and qualifying sales leads to convert to new business
- Proactively targeting and prospecting new clients, working closely with the sales teams to maximize revenue
- Driving the strategic direction of Yahoo within this business critical area
- Developing relationships with a number of key client contacts within resellers to identify and develop further cross sell and up sell opportunities
- Responding to resellers and some direct clients briefs and needs
- Working on ad hoc projects and supporting other teams and functions as necessary
- Building capability across the team, ensuring they fully understand the complex marketplace
- Driving the sales teams & reseller knowledge within this sector ensuring a strong and widespread knowledge of the overall display & programmatic ecosystem
- Owning client relationships with local trading desks and other programmatic, self-serve buyers, and driving growth through Yahoo products and services


You Must Have
- 5+ years experience in a sales-focused role, preferably in performance display, audience targeting or programmatic sales
- Strong reputation in the small and medium business across EMEA markets and good visibility on competitors in this area
- Able to converse eloquently around the display ecosystem, and be able to espouse the benefits of using data to deliver campaigns
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop a pipeline of prospects from standing start
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Ability to build strong relationships within the sales team and team partnering
- Fluent English as a 1st or 2nd language, being fluent in 1 or 2 other language(s) belonging to EMEA markets is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with and influence the key internal and external stakeholders whose active participation is required to successfully implement our strategic projects
- Business analysis skills expected along with a strong business background
