The Operations Director will lead on and deliver all venue operations activity across The FA’s two world class venues - Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park in Burton upon Trent.
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver The FA’s venues and events to meet the FA’s strategic, operational and financial goals
Lead and manage the teams across both venues to consistently deliver excellence for our customers
Play a lead role with key client and event owner relationships acting as an ambassador for The FA
Manage key relationships with internal delivery partners e.g. catering and hotel partners in order to deliver excellence and continuously improve standards
Ensure The FA is fully compliant with Health and Safety legislation across all our operations
The successful candidate will have:
Leadership experience of large, diverse teams
Proven delivery experience in a complex venue and event operations
Strong financial and budget management
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
Knowledge of event safety legislation – Green Guide, Safety in Sports Grounds Act
Experience in crisis management / communications
Experience in the retail and leisure sector including food & beverage operations
Major sporting event delivery experience
