Job Description

As the Optimisation Account Director you are key to the long-term and strategic development of the Ford Optimisation Account. It involves acting as a ‘consultant’ in educating and supporting team members on
the programme. You will act as a primary contact between the Agency and the Client and have responsibility for the day to day running of the account across all the departments and partner agencies.

Responsibilities:

The key areas of the Optimisation Account Director role are defined as follows. These are the areas you must deliver on to bring success to your role and the business:
-       Ultimate responsibility for the smooth running of the account, operationally, creatively and financially.
-       Lead by example and represent all the core values of ZAAZ UK.
-       Motivate the team during difficult times and confront and resolve conflict successfully.
-       Is responsible for ensuring theteam have the right time and resources to deliver within the client’s time frame.
-       Build relationships with other departments (or network where appropriate).

Client Partners:
-       Day to day responsibility and representation of the client business within the agency with accountability for successful implementation of all Optimisation related work, on time and on
budget.
-       Have a deep understanding of the client’s business and of the key broader factors and trends shaping their markets and categories.  Continually enhance knowledge of the client’s brand, products and market place and look for opportunities to engage in broader business dialogue with clients. Develop a deep awareness of current business news and issues facing their business and  industry sector
-       Build client relationships that ultimately help client reach their business goals and simultaneously drive work into the agency.
-       Ensure that client satisfaction remains consistently high and you will keep the team in pulse with client satisfaction levels.
-       Rapidly resolve and problem solve client and agency issues if they occur
-       Critically you will anticipate dips in satisfaction or conversely identify opportunities to proactively & positively impact satisfaction levels
-       Empower your teams to push back constructively and positively to clients. You will lead by example in this regard.
-       Act as a cheerleader for the work that the Optimisation Team is doing and evangelise it to the rest of the Account and Business.

Delivery & Process :
-       Consistently ensure that the team – across the engagement (including local markets) – fully understand the Optimisation Programme (search and web site optimization) and their role in
it.
-       Ensure all documentation regarding process is complete and will have been adhered to.
-       Ensure that all team members understand the processes and that their knowledge is continuously refreshed.
-       Work with the Department and Account Leads to review the teams delivery performance at agreed intervals. The rhythm of these reviews will vary across different areas of the client business.

Strategic Counsel:
-       Drive planning support input into the business
-       Be instrumental in ensuring that the right team are properly deployed on your piece of business.
-       Support the MD and BLO on the mission of ensuring Optimisation is given greater prominence within Senior Management.

Required Skills:
-       BA/BS Degree
-       5+ years prior agency experience.
-       Degree or equivalent marketing qualification.
-       Comprehensive understanding of general marketing practices (a professional qualification such as IDM Diploma is a bonus)
-       Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office computer packages such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
-       Must be detailed oriented, have strong presentation and project management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-       Must like to have fun, value team collaboration, and be nice to others.
