
Job Description
Blackbaud Europe has an immediate need for a Project Manager to lead project delivery for our mid-market fundraising, internet products. This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional services delivery team during a strong growth period. In this position, the Project Manager will be client-facing and directly lead the post-sale delivery and manage the project portfolio. This includes effectively communicating with the customer and managing them through our delivery methodology. The Project Manager will also document progress, manage risk, handle critical project issues and work closely with the management team for successful implementation. It will also be the responsibility of the Project Manager to recommend and implement methodology improvements.
Training and development opportunities allow for career growth and advancement within the professional services division. This position will be based in London office and will generally travel nationally 10-20% of the time. Travel can be more extensive.

Responsibilities
- Transition projects from Sales to Professional Services (Delivery)
- Establish resource allocation, project schedules, drive critical path activities, and identify, manage, and mitigate risk
- Work closely with the project and programme management team to drive the utilisation of the Professional Services practice – to maintain utilisation across all billable staff
- Accelerate revenue recognition via persuasive and expeditious scheduling of work; e.g. ensure all assigned engagements are scheduled as early as consultant’s schedules will allow
- Provide reporting on backlog status, project status, of all assigned projects to Blackbaud management
- Develop alternate delivery options when project timeline and/or milestones are jeopardised
- Ensure that projects are configured, wrapped-up and closed properly in internal systems
- Transfer the project and customer into the hands of the support organisation
- Participate in internal professional services development projects to ensure quality and consistency across the team and client experience
- Ability to scope and project plan with minimal supervision
- Assist in pre-sales process to scope work and provide professional services cost estimates
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience & Skills
- Performed project management from start to finish on at least 5 projects, up to £50-250kk in value
- Have worked in a services utilisation environment and held a personal utilisation target
- Proficient in mid to large and small scale projects (single digit to 100’s hours PM)
- Experience in delivery of multiple software packages within a single project
- Exceptional customer services skills, along with sales experience, is highly desirable
- Strong conflict management skills
- High-level understanding of each stage of software implementation life-cycle
- High-level understanding of technical issues related to software implementation
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills, and ability to think creatively
- Ability to lead the delivery team and strong influencing skills with the customer and other departments
- Ability to learn specific product concepts across multiple products
- Previous consulting experience a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft OneNote skills preferred
- Proficient in SAP for project operations or equivalent system
- Knowledge of bookings, revenue and billing financial aspects.
- Proficient in MS Office applications including: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio
- PRINCE2 Certification preferred
