TCS is seeking to hire a Senior Technical Architect specialising in HighPerformance Systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clearlycharacterize App / Systems performance (Open systems) to stakeholders
2. Liaisewith the business analyst/project manager and systems architect to understandand analyse the non-functional system requirements relating to performance andcapacity for the duration of the system's life cycle
3. Measure/ articulate cost & benefits of performance engineering, capacitymanagement, Technology optimisation
4. DefineKPIs for Performance & Capacity
5. Leadand deliver – Size and manage App Infra capacity for Transformational programse.g. App Rationalisation, Consolidation, Data centre consolidation
6. Definestrategy and plan for carrying out Performance and capacity tests.
7. Conductapp / system performance reviews during the system's life cycle - Requirements,Design, Build, Test, Production phases; and prescribe Optimisations
Desired Skills & Experience
1. Overallunderstanding of the SDLC: System Development Life Cycle, ITIL processes forCapacity Management and Performance Engg
2. Experienceof creating & reviewing Performance artefacts i.e. Performancespecifications, Design for high performance, Performance Test Strategy.
3. Abilityto review and customise VUgen scripts in LoadRunner using different protocols;Good knowledge of C programming language for LoadRunner script execution
4. Knowledgeof pertinent KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and their related performancecounters for both virtual and physical boxes of the Frontend, Middleware andBackend of the system/application under test
5. Strongexperience of tuning within the Performance Testing Life Cycle
6. Understandingof database design and performance tuning of RDBMS - Oracle 10g / DB2 on AIX /SQL Server 2005
Experience in tuning and optimisation of lowlatency systems
