The primary responsibilities of Enterprise Systems are to:
Defining & maintaining Enterprise Systems strategy and architecture.
Governance framework for the Enterprise Systems project and production support landscape.
Delivery of Enterprise Systems Projects & Programmes.
Development and application of CMMi level 3 compliant programme methodologies & tools including the SDLC on behalf of IT&S.
Management and maintenance of an integrated Enterprise Systems portfolio.
Management of Enterprise Systems Shared Components.
Provision of service management and support for applications in the ES portfolio.
Development, provision and optimisation of project delivery and support capability, BP and third party (Talent).
Continuous improvement across the Enterprise Systems Landscape.
Role Summary:
The PMO organisation is an integral part of the Enterprise Systems organisation taking a lead role in areas of commonality and cross organisational dependency e.g. governance, portfolio, quality & delivery assurance, programme methodologies & tools and reporting (portfolio, programme and operational).
The PMO organisation has accountability for:
Governance framework for the Enterprise Systems project and production support landscape.
Development and application of CMMi level 3 complaint programme methodologies & tools including the SDLC on behalf of IT&S.
Management and maintenance of an integrated Enterprise Systems portfolio.
Development, provision and optimisation of deployed PMO and Quality capability, BP and third party, across project delivery and support (Talent).
Continuous improved as a direct result of CMMi/QA audits and for the PMO organisation.
Quality Assurance framework and execution for Enterprise systems.
Delivery Assurance framework and execution for Enterprise systems.
"Single point of truth" for portfolio, programme & project reporting.
Leading the IT&S PMO network to drive standardisation and continuous improvement.
Role Description: This role reports to the appropriate Global PMO Delivery Manager. The individual will control planning and scheduling activities for one or more designated systems implementation projects or functional areas, including driving the accurate tracking and reporting of delivery progress for Enterprise Systems (ES) activities, and support the PMO Lead or Project Manager in the development, tracking and oversight of all project plans, as well as in the communication with stakeholders and governance bodies, e.g., status reporting, budget tracking, change control board, tracking of risks and issues.
Qualifications:
A recognised relevant professional qualification (e.g. PMP certification) or a willingness to study for one.
Knowledge and experience of industry standard project management methods (e.g. PMI's PMBOK). Excellent knowledge and experience of planning and scheduling, gained in a project environment. Excellent first hand experience of Microsoft Project, with demonstrated expert use gained through intensive usage. A good understanding of project lifecycles and project management methods. Experience of management reporting, ideally on project delivery status. The resilience and flexibility needed to succeed in a demanding and challenging project environment, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities. Influencing skills needed to challenge unrealistic planning and resource projections. An ability to work on his/her own initiative, and to take the lead in driving planning activity across the project. Working knowledge of Earned Value Analysis concepts. Skilful Application of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
