Senior Director - Brand, Innovation, and Direct Channel Marketing - Hertz - London
Job description
Hertz, the global rent a car company, have an excellent opportunity for an experienced brand, innovation and direct channel marketing director to join the International Sales and Marketing Team.
Located at our International Headquarters, in Uxbridge, London, this is a senior hire within the organisation, you will be playing a strategic part in the growth of the sales and marketing functions that fall under your remit.
Leading and developing talent within the brand, innovation and direct channel marketing group, your role will be as follows;
Direct Channel
Responsible for the direct revenue growth via Hertz direct channels through marketing strategies, plans and initiatives to optimize profitable growth
Evaluate direct channel business results on ongoing basis and plan, execute and measure relevant strategies and tactics which optimize direct sales
Drive revenue growth through communication of product lines, program benefits, offers and promotions through all Hertz direct channels
Keep abreast of online marketing best practice, industry trends and customer behaviour in order to ensure that the online experience and online marketing techniques drive growth for Hertz
Develop and direct the execution of online marketing programs, including ppc, seo, display and affiliates
Co-ordinate global developments and apply them to the benefit of the EMEA region
Ensure content is managed on website pertaining to countries within region to ensure dynamic offers and information which drive customer behaviour on buying and using online services
Lead the commercial prioritisation specification development for online development for International, as part of the overall global online platform development
Oversee the analysis and development of sales promotion on the web, email and other direct channels
Develop online channels and maximise the direct revenue opportunity for the Thrifty and Firefly brands for International
Brand
Develop and adapt the global brand strategy and creative for use in International, acting as Steward of the brand for the Region and influencing key stakeholders to ensure alignment at all touchpoints and geographical areas
Create an all-encompassing annual marketing plan to support and communicate all marketing activity for Hertz International
Lead the planning, creation and delivery of integrated communication and messaging plans for the region, including for brand and / or product campaigns, in collaboration with all other marketing teams
Design and deliver compiling communications, with great creative across the region, selecting appropriate media to ensure best results
Establish needs for market, customer and competitive trends and segmentation and use results of research to develop campaigns and identify future opportunities and risks
Create and deliver an annual marketing plan, ongoing communication plans and supporting creative toolkits
Consider sponsorship opportunities for brand and hospitality and lead the management of specific events
Product and Innovation
Develop creative and messaging strategy for existing products (including but not limited to collections, 24/7 and ancillary products) and ensure effective marketing plans in place to support revenue growth
Lead the identification and development of product and service innovation to support the long and short term marketing strategies
Engage, inspire and galvanize the organisation to support the development and rollout of these new products and ensure maximum revenue generation through messaging, creative and marketing plans
Own the customer experience and how to enhance it
Direct market and customer research efforts to advance customer insight and generate growth ideas
General
Lead and develop talent within brand, innovation and direct channel marketing group
Overall management of the communication, brand, creative online marketing, online functionality, content budgets
Develop and communicate Hertz strategies for agencies and evaluate their performance against these
Desired Skills and Experience
Educational Background:
Degree in Marketing, Advertising or other relevant discipline (Master’s preferred).
Professional Experience:
10+ years of experience in Marketing. A proven track record in leadership positions with major brand.
