Email and Digital Communications Manager - iTunes International - Apple - London


Job description
This role will be the email marketing and digital communications specialist for the iTunes International business ex-North America, to run the successful coordination and facilitation of email marketing campaign management for iTunes, the App Store and iBooks in our International markets.

Core to this role will be to provide the service of an internal email agency and schedule holder for iTunes International, owning and managing the email schedule across the division, managing campaign reporting and providing insights and informed strategies and recommendations for the internal business units as it relates to their eCRM schedule, executions, results and campaign strategies.

The role reports to the Digital Marketing Manager for iTunes International.

Key Qualifications

Has experience of end-to-end email marketing campaigns, from planning to deployment
Expert on industry best practices and technology
Highly analytical: able to interoperate data but also fulfil the marketing requirement of turning results into an actionable outcome
Experienced user of eCRM tools such as Experian CheetahMail, ExactTarget, eCircle, Responsys, and other web analytics tools such as WebTrends, Omniture etc.
Working with many DRIs and steak-holders, this person would be diplomatic and concise, understanding many parts of the business, to create the best email outcome
Understands the creative and technical process of email creation: html, text/image rendering and device optimisation, any ISP specifications, fulfilling a brief creatively / appropriately
Manage multiple, complex projects successfully in a fast-paced environment.
Investigate and recommend new direct marketing opportunities and tools for the International business teams.
Key qualifications
Deep expertise leveraging analytics to drive campaigns that reach the right customer with the right message at the right time.
Strong analytical marketing orientation and tactical business sense, with demonstrated ability to dive deep into customer data and translate findings into actionable customer insights and marketing programs.
Demonstrated expertise in Email Marketing with CRM-specific interests.
Deep knowledge and history of applying email marketing best practices such as segmentation and testing, targeting, deliverability, etc.
Demonstrated success working within a collaborative, cross-functional International organisation.
Passion for working with data, and proven track-record in data-driven disciplines to drive ROI positive eCRM
Outstanding written and oral presentation skills.
Exceptional project management skills, who is able to deliver according to daily deadlines, and ability to manage competing priorities across international business needs.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Strong analytics skills required, along with experience with data visualisation tools, content management systems and business insights dashboards desirable.

Description

Be the strategic motivator behind all International email programs for all content types: fulfil content requirements, and solve business problems, with email
Be the ‘missing link’ between email and all other consumer marketing programs
Ensure relevancy and quality of emails, communicating clear objectives, guidelines, advice and deadlines to all email teams involved
Maintain a highly relevant email schedule for International markets, including strategic emails, and tactical emails, which are shared and briefed to the WW email production team at HQ
Analyse Program and individual campaign performance, and translate results into a ‘marketing story’ to inform and educate teams, ensuring constant improvement
Maintain close working relationship with the International marketing teams and the US production/email teams, bridging communications, sharing learnings, consolidating feedback
Track, measure and constantly optimise email-marketing programs for growth and drive ROI positive eCRM campaigns.

Education

Degree (or equivalent) in Direct Marketing, Digital Marketing or similar field, MBA a plus.
Strong previous database/email marketing experience, with a mix of strategy and execution, marketing management consulting experience, internet/e-commerce experience and/or previous direct marketing experience with a recognised consumer brand that leverages large volumes of customer data to segment and communicate to customers
