This senior manager is a new role for us and the remit will change as you establish yourself in the firm and agree focus areas. You will work closely with the Global Pricing Director, the London COO, the senior managers and partners across the London business. This is a position for a superb influencer who can build strategic working relationships across the London business (and globally as needed). You will use your financial acumen to support the collective achievement of the firm’s strategic goals but the opportunities to contribute will be across the firm.
Although this senior manager does not sit within the Group finance function there will be extensive liaison and support from that team. Fundamentally, this is a blank piece of paper where you can establish success and grow within an organisation that supports creativity and innovation.
Key responsibilities
Build relationships within practice groups and with business services teams in London to understand the firm’s priorities
Lead on allocated London-wide or firm-wide projects through to execution
Consult with and advise partners on matters relating to the business operation, identify gaps and develop plans to fulfil short and long term requirements.
Work with Partners, London leadership team and COO to drive and implement change programmes, policies and processes
Analyse financial and headcount reporting including cost control, budgets, trends, forecast, cash management
Be a key member of the London pricing committee
Lead continuous improvement efforts and drive efficiency and effectiveness with use of technology
Develop greater integration and consistency within and between different practice groups and teams
Create and manage the budget for designated areas
Translate business reports and analysis as required
Reporting to and sitting on the London management board managing key issues that impact the financial performance of the business
