Job description
The Senior Marketing Content Manager role is based within UK Retail Bank and Wealth Mangement Marketing team.
The role of the Senior Marketing Content Manager is to be responsible for creating the vision and strategy for content marketing across all HSBC RBWM UK channels, collaborating with a virtual team and their resources to produce measurably increasingly more effective content across all media including website, mobile, social, direct marketing, branch etc.

Your responsibilities will include:
Develop a clear and compelling vision and strategy for how content supports our business, brand and customer goals
Develop a media and channel agnostic editorial calendar to consistently deliver fresh and unique content to key segments which maximises the value from ‘owned’ channels and generates ‘earned’ media exposure
Develop the standards and best practices for the creation, management, maintenance and governance of content, overseeing the editorial process in an agile way
Evangelise the importance of content with senior managers and marketing stakeholders, earning their trust and support to resource this area
Stay at the forefront of content trends and integrate them into our daily practice, sharing and gaining learnings across the region and wider Group
Establish an editorial board to review and promote great quality content. Develop a feedback / listening mechanism and measurement framework to monitor success of content, and feed into future optimisation of content

Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Marketing
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. 7+ digital marketing experience
Role relevant qualifications, i.e.degree level or equivalent is desirable but not essential
A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers
A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
A flexible and adaptable management style with experience of developing yourself and others
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
A track record of effectively handling complex sales, to meet the needs of demanding customers, in a fair and ethical way
