Key areas of responsibility for this position include, but are not limited to, leading a multi-disciplinary team with the primary objective of shaping future Self Service h/w platforms that allows NCR to drive real customer value by understanding and solving for the business challenges and opportunities our customers face over a multi-year horizon.
Central to this will be the responsibility and capability to build effective customer relationships and creating an external partner ecosystem that allows the team to innovate quickly whilst leveraging technology, tools and innovations from other Industries as well as our own.
Finally, it is expected that the successful candidate will also work in partnership with the Government Relations team to pursue opportunities for funding support for strategic initiatives with government bodies such as Scottish Enterprise.
Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Qualifications
• Honours Degree in Engineering, Design or Business related discipline
• Solid experience in a direct management/leadership role
• Solid experience of working directly with customers
• In depth knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management
• Strong communication and team building skills essential
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Master’s in Business Administration, Ph.D. or JD
• Ability to lead and inspire a cross discipline team
• Critical, creative and strategic thinking capabilities
• Experience of conducting consumer based research
• Passionate about challenging the norm and creating customer delight
• Ability to synthesize market and customer insights into product requirements that create customer value
• Understanding and experience of driving the ideation process from concept through development and customer validation
• Passion for technology and good understanding of the current technology landscape
• Proven track record of driving successful innovation programs in a complex corporate environment
