Reporting to the EMEA Regional Engineering Director and in direct collaboration with the Global Director – Energy & Sustainability, will drive successful energy management services in accordance with business targets through direct & matrix management of a regionally based energy & sustainability management team.

It is vital that this individual has demonstrated performance that the individual is very strong technically, is an outstanding leader of projects and teams, and has excellent communication skills at all levels of management both internally and with the client.
The successful candidate will be the owner of driving programs to achieve aggressive savings targets and:
Achieving Goal Zero – Embed EHS as a way of doing business.
Ensuring a high level of client satisfaction
Managing and focusing the Energy & Sustainability team to deliver key regional initiatives
Global consistency in processes, systems and reporting
Ensuring that initiatives required for meeting contractual obligations in energy/water savings, waste/recycling management and renewable energy are identified and implemented with support from the regional FM team
Supporting the delivery of the global environmental reporting system to enable utility management and consistent reporting
Delivering the energy savings glide path in-line with Master Services Agreement (MSA)
Responsibilities
Facilities Management:
Be responsible for achievement of the agreed energy savings targets and proactively seek ways to reduce cost of utilities
Prioritize projects, identify funding sources and develop business cases as needed to secure funding
Look for opportunities to cross-sell services and work with other business lines to convert
In conjunction with the Country FM Managers manage and control costs for projects relating to Energy Savings, ensuring those projects come in on time and on budget
Train and manage own teams financial performance and budget
Operational Excellence
Ensure MSA & KPI assurance, Local Legislation Compliance and implementation of Corporate Initiatives
Identify and report accurately and on time any gaps in meeting energy targets in each country and ensure that a pipeline of projects are identified and working closely with the FM Country Leads close the gap
Be responsible for the quality and saving accuracy of the Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) identified. Review the scope and calculations developed by direct reports thoroughly and ensure that the ECMs are tracked and documented in a timely manner. Perform energy assessments and analysis as required
Leverage the internal Energy Champions to identify and implement cost-effective ECMs. Provide support and training as needed
Drive through vendor management the consumption and billing data collation ensuring the information for own areas of responsibility are delivered in line with the client’s needs locally
People Management
Be responsible for the direct management of all direct reports. (e.g. recruitment, ethics, performance assessment, personal development, personal well-being etc.), driving JLL‘s standing as employer of choice
Actively contribute to sharing best practices with the global team and other regional energy teams. Replicate successful initiatives from other regions.
Establish consistency in the monthly reporting across all geographies to the satisfaction of the JLL reporting requirement / clients requirement
Client and Account Management
Be accountable for the service delivery to meet the contractual obligations to the client
Manage relationships with key stakeholders in the client’s organisation
Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of client’s business and key factors influencing their requirement for our services
Develop, communicate and manage the FM Country Leads to ensure initiatives are approved, signed-off and validated by the client in a timely manner
Represent IFM in external networking forums and client functions
Validate and communicate the monthly reporting statistics for the account for own areas of responsibility
Contract Management
Ensure the adherence to the IFM Master Service Agreement and all energy deliverables are met on time and on budget
Be responsible for the achievement of the key performance indicators, service levels and other measures as contracted and provide details of potential breaches/failures to the regional leadership team
Manage the governance process for the energy work stream within the account.
Deliver contract Energy Savings targets.
Client Value
Develop strong relationships with key personnel in the clients organisation
Demonstrate to the client IFM’s value engineering and global best practices.
Health & Safety
Enforce a zero tolerance to unsafe working practices to target a goal zero accident rate.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in Energy Management.
Must have experience of working within an energy role, embedded on a corporate single client account
Proven self-starter that consistently delivers to outcome specifications
Proven experience of operating in a similar role and environment
FM banking experience would be considered beneficial
A Chartered Engineer / Engineering Degree qualified in an appropriate Engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical/Electrical/Building Systems Engineering) preferred Fellowship of recognised trade body (IET)
Technically qualified Chartered Professional.
