Job Description:
The retail landscape is changing at a rapid pace. The boundaries between online and offline have never been more intertwined as the web now influences more than 50% of all retail sales. The eCommerce Director will build relationships with leading retailers/online merchants to become a fundamental part of their Omni-channel strategy, meaning consumers choose PepsiCo products more often.
This role is responsible for the eCommerce strategy, building and delivery of the AOP, as well as building outstanding relationships across the online businesses to deliver profitable growth and market share.
Accountabilities
Develop, implement and lead the commercial eCommerce strategy for UK, owning the channel P&L and delivering >£100mm business in 2016, doubling sales over next 3-5 years
Advise the commercial teams on strategic/growth levers for the online business and be proactive in driving plans forward to achieve goals
Sit on the UK sales council to encourage a multi-channel agenda across all customers and create a more digital savvy approach across UK business by leveraging systems and technology
Own the senior relationships with key UK retailers to become a trusted advisor and create strategic partnerships to further our joint agenda
Further develop scorecards & performance ROI - embed the use of new automated scorecard, delivering insight driven actions. Leverage the available data to create ROI models which optimise trade spend more effectively
Lead the evaluation of new eCommerce opportunities defining key retailers and partners, and setting up the team to deliver
Own UK eCommerce Test & Learn framework to drive future growth. Codify all lessons learnt & failures and align with Europe CoE team to remove duplication and enable leverage across the sector
Lead EU1169 compliance across our retailers, utilising capabilities of product databases and insights tools to effectively manage it across the teams
Partner with wider digital specialists and brand marketing teams to close the gap from media to shelf and drive conversion opportunities from our advertising spend
Leverage European and Global learnings to further develop all aspects of the eCommerce business such as content, campaigns, promotions and P&L/ROI evaluation
Build capability within eCommerce team and across the wider sales organisation
Through coaching and development, make the eCommerce team a great place to work and manage the talent pipeline for successor planning
