Job Description
Maintain ongoing buyer and marketing relationships and communication with key retailers in each territory
Support the EMEA retail strategy that achieves/supports organizational objectives including, market share, volume, revenue, placement and brand awareness
Oversee and monitor retail financials in market including market share by retailer, overall retail sales by property and annual growth plans
Responsible for organizing key meetings for film property presentations with retailers and collaborating with local agent, licensees, theatrical and dvd teams.
Primary partners are VP Global Retail, local brand director, local dvd ,Global Marketing and Franchise teams
Responsible for the retail marketing budgets of the accounts and ensuring revenue goals are met
Ability to influence the account and tenacity to sell in programs

Oversee execution of complex marketing programs that cross multiple business segments (toys, dvd, apparel) and marketing vehicles,( in store, online, social, media, circular, PR, events)
Serve as marketing expert and provide innovative ideas and thought leadership on retail programs that drive objectives
Excellent presentation skills with executive presence and leadership
Be knowledgeable and up to date on retail and marketing activity and trends in EMEA
Reports to VP Global Retail with dotted line to VP CPG EMEA
Position is based in London
Travel is required
Will manage 1 direct report ( Manager, consultant)

Basic Qualifications

5-10+ years of retail marketing and brand licensing
3+ years of EMEA experience and understanding of consumer products landscape
Strong organizational and communication skills working in a fast paced environment
Ability to speak more then one European language a plus ResponsibilitiesThe Director, Retail EMEA will be responsible for the development, strategic direction and management of retail programs for EMEA territories with an emphasis on UK/IRE, GAS, FRANCE, ITALY, SPAIN, BENELUX and NORDICS. The focus of the position is to maintain ongoing relationships with key retailers including buyers and marketing to maximize placement and sales of licensed products, deliver significant retail marketing, media value and promotional activity and create cohesive programs incorporating all Universal/NBCU business units that trade at retail. (Promotions, home entertainment and consumer products)
