Job Description:
Enable optimization of the Global HR Shared Services (HRSS) Operating Model
Establish and execute the strategy and vision for the HRSS teams supporting the British Isles, Europe and Asia

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Service Delivery and Operational Effectiveness

· Delivery and execution of HR Operations in the British Isles (UK, Channel Islands), Europe (Luxembourg) and Asia (Hong Kong, Singapore) including payroll (Luxembourg/Asia only), pension and benefit administration, employee inquiries, employee records management, employee lifecycle administration, international assignments and immigration services , reporting and data analysis etc.

· Develop and maintain strong business partner relationships with Europe & Asia RBC Business Leaders and HR Communities

· Manages select HR Services provided through third party vendor management processes

· Leverages HR Shared Services team to capitalize on best practice HR Shared services practices in place globally, tailoring to meet the specific needs of the local geography

· Ensure compliance with all RBC internal and local regulatory requirements

· Develop, monitor and report on service standards and performance metrics

· In partnership with HR IT, develop, implement and support a roadmap for HR Technology for geographies outside of North America

HR Shared Services Operating Model

· Support ongoing evolution of the strategy/approach for HR Operations outside of North America, exploring opportunities to expand the HR Shared Services footprint (e.g. Europe, Asia Pacific etc.) or enhance existing offerings as appropriate

· Lead the transition of HR Operations work for the British Isles from London, Jersey, Guernsey to Toronto, ensuring that activities are functionalized and aligned to home of best fit within the Canadian HR Service Centre

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

· Previous experience in HR an asset

· Demonstrated People Management/Leadership capabilities

· Effective Communication skills (verbal/written)

· Ability to work under pressure in a team environment

Technical Skills/Experience:

· Post secondary education at the undergraduate level,

· Knowledge of HR Technology, HR Shared Services operating models an asset

· Operations Management experience an asset

· Knowledge of Operational Risk and Control processes and requirements an asset

· Business and Financial Acumen

· Vendor Management

· PC Literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

DECISION AUTHORITIES

Within approved plan and as outlined in Delegation of Authorities

• Ability to effectively manage the demands of the Businesses by prioritizing and reassigning tasks as required

• Multiple geographies and time zones

• Ability to travel to Channel Islands, Europe, Canada and Asia is required
