Job Description:
We require a Programme Director who has both a strong delivery track record, and has experience of managing senior stakeholders in a complex multi-organisational situation with experience in a financial services environment. The ability to build relationships is key and the Programme Director needs to be able to balance the needs of the Client and CGI in a way that creates a strong, collaborative culture.
The CGI Programme Director
• Reports to the Client Engagement Director;
• Notifies the CGI CED of any contractual issues or discrepancies in planning and submits recommendations to resolve these issues;
• Ensures execution against the contract, to plan and in line with CGI’s Management Frameworks;
• Ensures that the project remains compliant with CPMF and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and gains written agreement of any necessary waivers with all relevant parties;
• Takes timely action on issues of non-compliance in quality;
• Works closely with PMO and PMO Management to ensure that Programme and Project standards are maintained;
• Is the senior CGI on-site representative managing CGI’s liaison with the client, and ensuring that they are appraised of plans, progress, issues, etc.;
• Plans, organizes, leads, and monitors the activities of the programme;
• Maintains overall control of the schedule and the delivery of all expected deliverables;
• Approves the management deliverables (e.g. Project Work Plan, management reviews, requests for changes and outstanding issues) and seeks approval when necessary;
• Collaborates with the CGI CED in the resolution of any disputes that arise during the programme;
• Approves the general direction in which the project progresses;
• Prepares regular financial, status and progress reports as directed by CGI management, including reporting the heartbeat of the project (e.g. teams, testing, project, client);
• Reviews and approves requests for change;
• Tracks outstanding programme issues;
• Tracks the deliverables;
• Tracks any decisions made regarding requests for changes, outstanding issues and potential risks;
• Secures the resources and support in order to keep the programme working smoothly;
• Reviews status reports prior to presentation to the Governance Boards;
• Secures internal approval within the client organization for business matters;
• Keeps the lines of communication open among all programme participants;
• Maintains on-going contact through formal and ad hoc meetings with the Client Programme Director, keeping him or her notified of the status of work being done by the Work Streams.
