Job Description:
The mission of the Global Shopper Centre of Excellence PMD facing team is to partner and consult with Key Themes within PG1 and PG2, so that they demonstrate good understanding of shopper functionally, and operate as best in the toy industry (and comparable to gold standard externally) at translating shopper insights into a competitive advantage for The LEGO Group. The levels of development vary greatly in the Theme groups and this role is pivotal in leading the PMD facing team in taking the global learnings and frameworks and translating them into a cohesive shopper plan.
This role is both Strategic and tactical. From a Strategic perspective, this role will help shape the direction for the PMD facing team in accordance with the Strategic Shopper Direction vision. This will require tactical thinking and activity definition to support the plan. It is essential that all the senior stakeholders (Senior Director plus) in the contact matrix are engaged and on the journey and this role will need to deliver a strong and consistent story to embed shopped led thinking into the organization by ensuring the team is delivering the same message within their own stakeholder base. This will involve regular interaction, direction and some tough conversations. In this role you will help to shape the shopper agenda in the PMD Group on a daily basis, by influencing and collaborating with the key stakeholders and ensuring the necessary learning and disciplines are in place.

What will you be doing, your core responsibilities:

Strategic - Lead Development of the evolving Shopper Mandate in the PMD Organisation
Act as key contributor to Strategic Shopper Agenda for TLG, becoming the ‘go to ‘experts for embedding strategy with senior stakeholders.

Strategic into Tactical -Lead the Building of shopper capabilities and expertise
Continue to drive the buy in to development of shopper capability and expertise within PMD via development and delivery of formal training programs, including Entry level, Intermediate and SME Qualification Training.

Tactical -Lead the sharing of shopper best practice
Leading the team to drive creation of new insights via strategic projects and research projects in partnership with Global Insights team.

Strategic - Inspire and drive a future focus
In conjunction with the market facing team, provide on-going inspiration to Global Shopper Network and PMD via meetings, webinars and inspiration sharing sessions.

Strategic - Influence Key Senior Stakeholders eg PG1 and 2 Heads plus Director plus stakeholders and theme heads
Leverage networks to drive a culture of 2 way sharing and adopting of best practices

Tactical - Lead the inclusion of Shopper Insight into the RAC process
This role will lead this relationship and own the stakeholder relationships

What your key challenges are going to be:
-Influencing senior leaders and empowering the team to ensure that insights are being brought to actions through
our partners
-Ensuring that LEGO develops actionable and relevant shopper insights effectively and we are not duplicating efforts
by sharing global knowledge more effectively.
-Ensuring that PMD are developing Shopper capabilities to constantly bring insights to action and win more in omni
retail
-Building a solid network across many stakeholders and departments, many of which have different goals and
objectives (KPI’s).
-Building strong partnership in our internal SMA, eCommerce Centre of Excellence and GI colleagues, fostering an
-environment which is open to challenge and ultimately, ensuring that we provide a solid consultancy to product
groups.

What we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you will need to be a strong leader and functional expert who is capable of taking the Market team on the Shopper 2020 journey. The role requires well developed influencing skills and a knowledge ideally of managing a change process You need to be able to work in a dynamic world where our priorities are sometimes prioritised by others and that we are “in the hands of the markets and customers” for when our support is needed.
You will also need to be able to work through others and shine when other people are shining

-Previous experience in a consumer goods company as full time people leader capable of influencing at all levels preferably working across markets
-Experienced from Trade/Customer Marketing function and from at least one of the following areas (KAM role, Marketing Role, Research/Insights role)
-Experienced with shopper and category data (scanner/ panel data, research data etc)
-Experienced in connecting different data/information and transforming these into relevant insights.
-Experienced in creating education materials and PPT
-Experienced people leader, capable of influencing at all levels
-Ideally a change agent, used to embedding new ways of thinking. May have experienced or driven this.
-Experienced with shopper and category data (scanner/ panel data, research data etc)
-Experienced in connecting different data/information and transforming these into relevant insights.
-Experienced in building capabilities within organizations

There will be a certain amount of travel required within this role and we expect this to be around 30 - 60 days p/y, which will include; internal meetings, external conferences and network meetings
