The Sponsorship & Promotions Director is a critical management role in the Ad-sales department reporting directly to the UK Sales Director. A distinct part of the role is to generate and maximize the full media offering available to clients under the Turner banner by delivering specialist and tailor made solutions, on time, on budget and that fulfill client objectives.
Ensuring at all times that a high level of creative and competitive commercial standards are maintained. The S&P Director has an in-depth understanding of all Turner's commercial offerings across all platforms and must maintain strong relationships with all internal departments, especially S&P creative, Legal and Research. The role has responsibility for the direct management of a team consisting of 2 people (S&P Manager, S&P Account Executive).
Responsibilities:
Create and generate new business leads in order to grow portfolio of clients and help deliver the overall S&P target. Manage and grow the S&P offering by championing all new media offerings as part of the Turner response.
Actively drive new media business through creative response as part of the pitch process.
Manage and organize the creative process needed to ensure that turnaround time and delivery is at the highest standard that our clients and partners expect.
Extensive liaison with internal departments at a senior level e.g. with Ad Sales, Enterprises, Creative, Marketing, Programming, Presentation, Legal, Compliance etc. Liaison with clients and agencies at senior level, including opening and developing strategic conversations regarding the S&P offering.
Manage career development, training and appraisal of direct reports (Sponsorship & Promotions Account Manager and Sponsorship & Promotions Account Executive)
Qualifications:
Essential:
At least 5-6 years experience at agency or sales house in UK
Proven track record of client/agency relations
Creative and commercially minded - full understanding the production process.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Presentation skills
Knowledge/experience of UK television
Desirable:
Knowledge/experience of UK children's markets
Project Management experience across multiple markets
