As head of EU Direct Marketing & Merchandising, you’ll be responsible for conceptualizing, executing and continually improving Direct Marketing & Merchandising campaigns to drive engagement of existing Amazon Prime members as well as the acquisition of new members. Through strategic thinking, strong data driven customer insight, and passionate ownership of your channels, you’ll maximize scale and efficiency of this exciting growth area on an international scale. You will collaborate with marketing & product teams around the globe to help define worldwide strategy for your channels.

You will have shown that you can work autonomously and be as comfortable handling details as you are thinking big. You will have demonstrable expertise in driving Direct Marketing strategy as well as campaign execution. Amazon is highly data-centric, so importantly you will have shown you know how to test & measure robustly, using analysis to drive consistent performance improvement. Key Accountabilities:
Lead a team of 7 in charge of executing campaigns from end to end – manage targeting and segmentation briefing, messaging, content and design, planning and execution as well as reporting on individual campaign results and bigger picture trends.
Work closely with internal and external partners to ensure campaigns are executed to the highest standard, on time and on budget.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with global internal teams such as Life-cycle Marketing, Data, BI, Traffic, Product and Engineering, as well as external production partners.
Manage a continuous, meticulously planned and documented testing plan which delivers consistent channel growth and performance improvements against key metrics across a range of campaigns.
Manage budget to deliver results within cost-efficiency targets.
Report on progress against goals to wider stakeholders – writing up proposals, roadmap plans and campaign reviews with a monthly overall review of progress against budgets and targets.
Maintain brand and channel standards with stellar attention to detail.
Work closely with other marketing channels within Amazon to ensure key launches and partnerships are supported.


Basic Qualifications

A degree level graduate or equivalent achievement.
Team management experience
Strong and resourceful problem-solver
Excellent written and presentation skills
MS Office including advanced Excel
Commitment to quality and accuracy
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to learn quickly in a challenging environment
Ability to problem-solve under pressure
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Background in Direct Marketing campaigns
Preferred Qualifications

Background in strategic planning and execution of Direct Mail campaigns
Project management skills
