Job Description

About the role

Trading Desk is the OMG real time display product. We use licensed technology and data partners to source inventory for clients in real time on ad exchanges and market places. We are agnostic on technology believing that a culture of innovation and entrepreneurialism is key to driving performance and product development. We do not want to be tied to technology while the rate of change in this field is so rapid.

We currently run campaigns for thirty plus clients with a team of four housed within Access. It is an incredibly vibrant, dynamic and interesting part of the media industry to be involved in.

We are looking for somebody to take responsibility for the delivery of all the OMG clients’ campaigns.


Key KPIs for the role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following
  • Grow billings from the OMG client base through effective real time optimisation of display campaigns
  • Instigate an effective testing and iteration programme for new technologies for Trading Desk
  • Effective communication and management of expectations with key agency personnel – pre, during and post campaign
  • Commercial forecasting and reporting
  • Management of a manager and one exec
  • Liaise with technology partners
  • Ensure that the technology and optimization techniques used are market leading
  • Deliver against commercial objectives
  • Understand the usefulness, the technical process and the value of data
  • Provide a tactical roadmap for development of the OMG TD product
  • Help create bespoke plans for OMG clients
  • Liaise with the Access, OMG Head of Trading to source supply partners


Desired Skills & Experience

The candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities, abilities and experience –
A solid background and experience in a media environment (or similar).
Experience of optimisation, either PPC or preferably display.
A solid understand of digital media practices, the role of digital and the principles behind DR marketing.
Experience of dealing with senior agency people.
An interest in the concept of real time buying, ad exchanges and marketplaces.
An aptitude for problem solving, both tactical and strategic.
A good communicator, somebody who would be confident dealing with people in the OMG sister companies, explaining the Trading Desk capabilities and managing expectations.
