Position: Online Merchandising Manager
Salary range: £50,000 - £60,000
Job Description
- Maintain your area of the website with up-to-date, smart and relevant product content to enhance and maximize the customer experience
- Secure exclusive deals in exchange for merchandising placements
- Negotiate placements with internal and external supply sources
- Work with the site optimisation, marketing and customer service teams to ensure agreed-upon calendar of promotional events
- Populate and track performance of merchandising placements;
- Use self-service templates to deliver merchandising commitments
- Ensure content conforms to site standards, co-op commitments and promotional requirement
- Refine and optimise merchandising activity by analysing traffic and sales data to improve overall effectiveness
- Test new merchandising initiatives
- Improve consumer e-mails by selecting the right products for promotion and analysing performance

- Experience forecasting commercial results
- Commercial and analytical smarts - good at using data to identify tactical business opportunities
- Hands-on data management experience requiring intermediate/advanced Excel skills (e.g. confident usage of pivot tables, usage of logical functions, etc
- High computer literacy, with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Extensive work experience
Desirable:
- Success in negotiating with internal and external partners
- Online merchandising experience preferred, with partners to secure merchandising and/or co-op support online travel merchandising
- Experience populating pages to a web site (even if just using pre-defined templates)
- Copyediting or commercial copywriting experience
- Significant experience in consumer travel distribution
