Director - UK Partnerships - Datalogix - London


Job description
We are now expanding our rapidly growing US business into the UK. Reporting to the General Manager, International based in London, the Director UK Partnerships will be responsible for establishing and driving the UK business development and partnerships strategy to enable and sell our products and services. These can broadly be broken into the following types of business:
Consumer digital companies with large user bases
Audience Partners – media and publishing companies that can help us build online to offline connections
Marketing Services companies – that may contribute to, or use, our services
The UK operation is in “start-up” phase, and as the 4th UK employee your role will cover many elements much broader than the basic job spec. As a senior team member, you will also help develop strategy to grow the broader UK business.
The core part of your responsibilities will be to:
Work with the GM, International to establish the UK partnership strategy and potential target opportunities
Identify, prospect, structure, negotiate and close partnerships with key target partners
Retain and expand relationships with partners through ongoing performance review and resolution of issues, ensuring partnership success
Demonstrate initiative and creativity in developing tailored solutions that meet the needs of Datalogix and its partners
Desired Skills and Experience
Business Development
Broad base of online industry contacts
Proven track record of generating strategic business relationships, structuring creative and successful partnerships and taking them through to close

Client and Partner Relationships
Proven track record of easily and rapidly building partner relationships
Ability to successfully integrate into a client’s business and become an indispensable component of their team – known for being sought out by client for your point of view
Experience of closing account revenue for new clients and growing existing account revenue
Ability to effectively and independently manage complex and/or difficult client situations

Sector Expertise
Extensive knowledge of the Internet and online advertising, including using data for targeting and measurement
Detailed understanding of the marketing industry – either as a client or preferably agency.

Thought Leadership & Analytical Skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
Innovative – offering new ideas and perspectives that add value and drive revenue
Comfortable with technology and analytics; understanding performance marketing and can effectively lead discussions around the subject

Others
Excellent proven organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills
BA/BS degree/MBA preferred
Strong energy & drive: self-motivated, focused on bottom line, persistent
Happy to get your hands dirty – we are starting up in the UK and hence the role will be broad
Personal & interpersonal competencies: openness & receptivity, integrity & character
Strong executive presence and great presentation skills
Organizational Agility: effective communication, cultural savvy, managing up, down & laterally
