Vice President - Software Development - ADP - Hungerford

We (ADP DSI) a marketing leading software organisation for the automotive retail industry are recruiting for a new member of our Executive Leadership Team.

The role will be based in Hungerford in the UK but have responsibility for 400 heads based across 25 countries.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of our R&D (software development) strategy as well as have personal accountability for all infrastructure issues including structure, recruitment, compensation, education and effectiveness in the design and execution of operations. Shared responsibility, with the Regional GM/VPs and the VP Product Marketing, for the achievement of local product software development goals as established in local and Regional plans and shared responsibility for the delivery of strategic product development initiatives. You will contribute to the development of the company’s product goals and drive the company’s achievement of those goals.

Key responsibilities will include:

Designing and implementing agreed product development plans to achieve the agreed strategy.
Designing and implementing an agreed R&D structure and organisational design to achieve the strategy.
Working closely with HR in managing the hiring, training, development and compensation of a R&D organization across the world to achieve the company’s plans and build capability for the future.
Managing overall product development process and methodology, setting, measuring and acting on appropriate metrics for management.
Working closely with the Regional GM/VPs and the VP Product Marketing to develop product strategies and plans which meet local and strategic needs.

Desired Skills and Experience

Senior leadership experience required: automotive industry preferred and ERP experience required.
Demonstrable experience of leading large teams.
Proven ability to forecast, budget and plan accurately.
Very strong written, oral and presentation skills.
Demonstrable track-record in developing and implementing product development strategy.
Demonstrable track-record in implementing programmes in process design, recruitment, education and compensation.
Demonstrable track-record in building high achieving software development teams.
Extensive international experience.

Qualifications required

Essential

Batchelor’s degree in technical discipline

Desirable

Masters degree / MBA preferred
