Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Principal Project Manager, with operational responsibility for a team of Project Managers. The team are currently delivering across the public and private sectors including education, commercial, industrial, infrastructure and residential projects and programmes. Reporting to the Associate Project Manager for the role will provide ample opportunity for career development.

Responsibilities
Provide operational leadership for the team.
Engage with senior members of the management team to raise the profile of the team and to foster a strong and integrated team culture.
Actively pursue new business opportunities by supporting with bids and tenders, raising the profile of / promoting the team's services and through networking, both within company and across the markets in which we operate.
Leadership and performance management duties in respect of team structure, appraisals and career development within the wider team.
Delivery of complex programmes and projects as required.
Recruitment across the team, including role definition, demand analysis, administering the Capita processes.

PM experience in consultancy managing multi-disciplinary design and construction schemes and experience of delivering to time, cost and quality objectives.
Experience of Public Sector project delivery, some Local Authority experience desirable.
Degree qualified in a construction related discipline; QS, BS, Civil Engineering.
Chartered in suitable discipline; QS, BS or Civil Engineering.
Experience of a range of procurement methods.
Experience of management methodologies.
Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to motivate teams and work in close partnership with clients. Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate.
Self motivated with positive can do attitude. Highly organised and excellent communicator.
A Member of either MICE, MRICS or MAPM.
