Job description
CPA Global has a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and driven Global Communications Director to lead our Internal Communications and Culture function. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer the Global Communications Director owns and coordinates employee communications across the organisation and exists to deliver a cohesive strategy and communications program aligned to the overall Corporate Strategy to drive employee engagement and culture.
As an integral part of the newly formed Marketing leadership team, this role works with the Global Management Committee (GMC) to develop, implement, monitor and measure the employee communications strategy. This role works closely and extensively with the Global HR Director and the wider HR team to provide effective and timely employee communications.

Driving results whilst working with specific deadlines and targets are key to this role.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to :-



Strategy

Develop a global internal communications plan to drive employee engagement and ensure communications are aligned to the corporate and brand strategy.
Develop programs to ensure the Values are entrenched in the organisation.
Leader led communications – work with the GMC and senior managers to provide the right level of coaching, communication tools and key messages so they are empowered to deliver the messages to their teams.
Identify/define employee sentiment – understand what motivates employees and how to ensure we’re delivering the right messages.
Develop a compelling Employer Branding strategy.
Key messaging

Develop a hierarchy of key messages to be used by the GMC and senior managers.
Develop key messaging for the delivery of the corporate strategy and individual campaigns and initiatives.
Manage governance process to control all corporate messaging.
Communications and Campaigns

Develop an integrated and ongoing internal communications plan to drive employee engagement.
Develop a communications schedule of leader led communication channels.
Use multiple communication channels to reach employees including internal events.
Build relationships across the business, becoming a trusted adviser for communication messaging, strategy and delivery.
Create ‘outside the box’ ideas to drive employee engagement.
Internal Management

Work with the GMC to develop and drive employee communications, playing an active role at leadership team meetings.
Measure the ongoing effectiveness of leadership forums, employee communications and overall employee sentiment.
Ownership of the intranet.

Desired Skills and Experience
Significant and relevant specialist experience with a proven track record in Global internal communications, media relations or strategic communications.
Passion for making a difference – an unconventional, results driven, hungry individual who wants to play a big part in an exciting journey.
A well-developed understanding of strategic communications and its role in helping a global business meet its objectives.
The capability to develop and implement effective global communications strategies.
The ability to engage with and counsel executive and senior management.
The foresight to identify and address potential issues at the earliest stage of their development.
Strong leadership and people management experience and capabilities.
The ability to articulate a clear strategic vision and generate enthusiasm in the achievement of clear organisational objectives.
Excellent communications skills – both verbal and written and the ability to develop effective presentations.
Ability to work under deadline pressure.
Well-developed project management skills.
Budget management and reporting experience.
European languages advantageous, ideally German.
