Job Description:
Today we are seeking at Lenovo UK for our Global Accounts division an Acquistion Sales Director. We are seeking enthusiastic, career-minded professionals to join our truly global team. The ideal Acquisition Sales Director will be aggressive, goal-oriented, articulate and possess exceptionally good communication skills. A strong personality with the desire to reach high performance goals is a must. This position will be responsible for uncovering opportunities, selling the benefits of the full catalogue of Lenovo products and selling against the competition.

Key Accountabilities are as follows

• To manage a team of dedicated acquisition sales people going after the non-Lenovo Fortune 500 accounts headquartered in the UK/I. The team, when fully staffed, will have face-to-face acquisition sales people, supported by inside sales people
• The team is responsible for the revenues obtained from a group of major accounts that are principally headquartered in the UK/I.
• To concentrate on managing the team to develop short- and long-term acquisition plans for the designated global accounts with a particular emphasis on exploiting further the range of new product-offerings that the company now offers in the enterprise space
• To focus on and encourage/facilitate the development and enhancement of a solution oriented sales approach that can be adopted by, and customized for, the specific need of each individual account. Must be able to add gravitas in client situations and present on various topics, including the strengths of Lenovo’s product portfolio and explaining/maximizing the value of that product offering to the customer.
• To monitor activity levels, implement process efficiency changes to drive maximum productivity, and contributing to both new customer acquisition efforts.
• Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales and move the transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline
• Build talent pipeline; coach, train and motivate and grow sales staff Position Requirements
• Extensive experience of managing a team to acquire very large accounts in technology hardware, candidates with server experience are preferred.
• A minimum of 15 years experience in IT industry
• Demonstrate a high level capacity for teamwork and manage the close collaboration with internal Lenovo functions, especially within the Global Account community, as well as with Business Partners and System Integrators. Must be used to working within a matrix organizational structure and experienced in managing virtual team
• Result –oriented, willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful. Consistent overachievement of sales goals in a large geographic history
• Missionary, highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency. Able to deal with ambiguity
• Exceptional leadership skills; a strong recruiter and motivator of people
