Job Description:
We are seeking a candidate with excellent experience in creating Global Campaigns within Broadcasting or advertising environment.
The right person will be an effective leader, capable of managing teams and clearly defining expectations with strong communication skills and robust interpersonal skills in order to foster lasting relationships both within the team and the wider BBCW community. This is a hands on role and the right person will enjoy writing and executing creative, as well as working with a team.

The Creative Director is responsible for devising and creating outstanding and innovative Global campaigns across BBC Worldwide’s Drama, Comedy, Children’s, Factual, Entertainment and Brand Genres. They will be an expert in strategic thinking and devising strong propositions and creative responses that work across a variety of touch points – TV, print, digital and experiential. Working to the Executive Creative Director this role will continuously raise the creative bar and act as a guardian for the BBC Worldwide Brand and the sub brands across all consumer and business facing environments.

Line management of the Creative team including integrated creatives and a copywriting team. Providing leadership and inspiration this role will assemble teams and lead the creative process with exceptional results. They will also be responsible for mentoring staff across the department to elevate the creative output.
Work closely with the Design Director to ensure that all print collateral and event creative is best in class and the quality consistent across brochures, catalogues, online resources and event collateral.
Manage a team of in house and freelance creatives and editors in preparation for key sales events including motivating teams during peak periods in production.
Develop creative briefs for ideation sessions, lead creative ideation and brainstorm sessions, develop and vet ideas.
Responsibility for all filmed content including set visits, scripting, working with crews and facilities.
Work closely with the Executive Creative Director, Design Director and EMEA Creative Director to ensure that a Global creative community is fostered and campaign production can be shared where appropriate. Ensure that ideas and best practice is shared within regional creative teams.
Manage external creative agencies to ensure a successful delivery of any outsourced work, keeping all stakeholders informed and changes to brief communicated.
Work closely with the marketing team for Franchise Brands, Doctor Who, Top Gear and Sherlock, understanding the business strategy and driving revenues through targeted consumer campaigns.
Manage the copywriting team, supporting excellence in writing promo cards, Online Catalogue, brochures and marketing materials. Manage the capacity of the writing team ensuring that guidelines within the service level agreements are maintained.
Desired Skills and Experience
Highly organised, senior creative professional with an outstanding record, with extensive relevant experience working in a Broadcast Media or media environment
An inspirational and motivational leader, a team player experienced in nurturing talent.
Proven experience with extensive background in integrated marketing campaigns, media, brand strategy, experiential.
Track record of managing and motivating teams to deliver excellent creative in challenging environments.
Experience of developing creative strategies and positioning of branded properties.
Ability to monitor changes in the creative and marketing world in order to stay informed about latest thinking and new technologies in order to strive to be world class and employ game changing ideas.
