Job Description:
-The Director, Development works most directly with a Executive Director, Development to
connect with prospects, build relationships and develop business opportunities for the
organization based on proactive outreach, relationship building, and strategic proposal
development.
-The Director, Development has responsibility for tracking all activities to build strong
relationships with relevant prospects. They will also contribute to Brand Union’s growth
strategy through collaboration with peers and supporting the team responsible for lead
generation and driving revenue to this organization.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
-Support relationship building efforts with potential prospects on behalf of this organization
both alone, and with the support and guidance of the Executive Director
-Develop sales and marketing materials including case studies, social media management
utilizing the resources of this organization to attract clients with smart relevant thinking
-Generate tailored proposals to RFPs / RFI's and refine the overall RFP response process by
improving language, standardization, and establishing an efficient process
-Remain current on relevant category information and share perspectives around target
categories with the Brand Union team about specific companies, categories and information
-Leverage referral and existing relationships and strategic problem solving to open doors with
new opportunities, driving Brand Union perception in the marketplace
-Call and connect with target prospects daily to deliver against outreach objectives, and ensure
partner teams are aligned and collaborate towards target delivery
-Collaborate with Brand Union subject matter experts / discipline heads to drive proposal
efforts, drive marketing and collateral development and deliver sales results
-Drive teams by managing the client contact database, a dynamic and changing sales pipeline,
and outreach. Schedule and track corresponding new opportunities
-Create and compile compelling outreach material to engage clients or support senior leaders
including RFIs, presentations, thought pieces, as required
- Analyze and report weekly activities to track progress / success against Brand Union database,
and manage the activities and outreach of a support teams daily responsibilities

Excellent writer - major in English / History preferred with debate or theatre experience
Effective multi-tasker, ability to thoughtfully manage team members and prospect needs
Thoughtful, creative, intelligent, eager, active, interested, detail oriented are a plus
Must be competitive and a hard worker with a focus on delivering against set goals
