Job Description:
Managing and delivering a number of contracts within budget, to meet contractual requirements and to the satisfaction of internal and external key stakeholders e.g End User clients, Managing Agents, Project Companies and the Skanska Facilities Services Senior Management Team and Skanska UK.
To create a safe and stable environment to deliver Injury Free contracts.
To lead and facilitate profitability, contract compliance, and effective delivery of the Facilities Management provision.
To innovate to create growth by realising available opportunities with existing and future clients.
To lead the business as part of the Operating Unit Leadership Team
Your responsibilities
To manage an efficient, cost effective management function and ensure the provision of all Maintenance Services is competitive on cost, budget, quality and responsiveness and to ensure the service is Client focused.
Lead the delivery of profit expectation, with full profit and loss accountability for the projects
Take accountability for all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental management. Lead your team in developing and executing a Health, Safety, Environment and sustainability project action plan.
Report regularly to the leadership team on progress, key activities and expenditure against budget. To understand the monthly figures, taking proactive action to prevent losses and maximise profitability.
Take a positive and highly visible lead in developing relationships with the Client and to lead negotiations with the Client Project Team.
Develop a good working relationships with each shareholder/stakeholder of the project companies and co-ordinate shareholder support for the project companies
As part of the Leadership Team of the business, help set and implement the Business and drive business growth
Management of effective, efficient and cohesive project teams with a shared sense of purpose through the team building sessions, development of individuals PDP’s and use the Skanska Code of Conduct.
Lead and inspire the project team ensuring all employees have a current review and learning plan, that succession plans are in place and that the team is positively engaged.
Ensure that management by information is practised, that effective performance review structures are in place and that measurement and review drives continuous improvement in maintenance performance.
To be a key contact and to build and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with all members of the SFS team and other BU stakeholders.
To promote a culture of customer service to both internal and external customers and partners and to liaise with other Stakeholders
To create a culture of care in line with Skanska Facilities Services values through effective leadership, development and management of their team.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience & Qualifications
Track record of success in delivering complex major projects.
A good leader, commercially and financially astute and with the ability to provide positive leadership and clear direction to a wide-ranging team.
Experience of successful working in or with the private sector
Experience of working in PFI
Experience in Business Leadership
Educated to Degree level (or equivalent)
Likely to hold a further professional qualification to fellowship level
Possible Member of Institute of Project Managers
