This role sits within the International Payroll Team which is part of the broader International Finance Operations team based in London. This position is responsible for providing compliant, accurate and timely payroll services across 30 countries, covering >80 individual payrolls and >2000 employees.

Qualifications/Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide exceptional direction, leadership and management to the Payroll function, ensuring that a high quality, robust and timely payroll service is provided to all NBCUI employees
• Through ongoing engagements, establish and build on excellent working relationships with key stakeholders who are customers of as well as part of the E2E payroll process
• Responsible for ensuring that the team is appropriately structured, trained & organised and is inspired to operate to do their best work with continuous improvement embedded in their day to day operations
• Responsible for ensuring that appropriate oversight and control frameworks are in place for all processes & outputs and that these are regularly reviewed and assessed from the perspective of compliance , effectiveness & efficiency
• Work closely with colleagues in Tax, Treasury and HR so that NBCU remains compliant with employment law and tax legislation across the International area
• Responsible for ensuring all duties and activities relating to the payroll funding process, third party payment, GL distribution process and statutory filings are all discharged accurately and on time
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Education and Qualifications
• Significant experience of managing an international payroll function in a global environment utilising multiple currencies
• Significant demonstrable experience of working and managing a team within a large, cross-functional/matrix organizations to ensure the successful completion of assigned deliverables.
• Substantial team management experience to include development, coaching and mentoring
• Ability to lead and present financial analytical information in face-to-face presentations to varied audiences; including executive management
• Strategic Planning - ability to link development requirements back to business requirements
• Budgeting and resource management
• Establishing and delivering Business metrics
• Relationship building and influencing ability both inside and outside the organisation
• Taking ownership and ensuring high quality results
• Ability to work within a highly matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders
