Business Analysts conduct data-oriented analysis, develop metrics, synthesize information and present insights to support strategic decisions. As a Business Analyst within Google Play Business Development, you design and implement methodologies, dashboards and presentations, all while partnering with stakeholders across multiple functions and locations. The principal goal of your analyses will be to drive better business decisions which increase Play performance for game developers.

Understand the metrics behind the apps and games business better than anyone: Be the analytical powerhouse to set the strategic direction of the EMEA and LATAM Business Development teams.
Develop a deep understanding of the market dynamics within the apps and games industry to help define regional strategies in terms of Business Development activity and resource planning.
Design effective programs and help manage these as part of cross-functional teams to drive results for developers and Play.
Work with large data sets, automate data extraction, build monitoring/reporting dashboards and high-value, automated Business Intelligence solutions (data warehousing and visualization). Deep dive analysis on KPIs for large app or game publishers to understand key drivers of their business and assess ways for Google Play to enhance their success.
Build and maintain dashboards to present key metrics and help quantify the impact of various programs. Work with the business development team to create reports to be shared with key game developers. Be willing and able to present to C-level executivess on partner app and games companies.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or in a quantitative field of study (e.g. mathematics, natural sciences, engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
Experience analyzing data and creating reports with spreadsheets. Database query experience (e.g. Dremel and SQL languages).
Experience working with data visualization tools to deliver results.
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of relational databases and of database design best practices, with strong SQL-based skills and application development and ETL (database creation, optimization, data feed productionization etc.).
A passion for mobile apps and/or games. Working experience in analytics for a mobile app/game developer or in the industry.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment, including international travel across EMEA and LATAM.
Proven project management, relationship management and leadership skills - a self starter who has the ability to work with and influence technical and cross-functional teams to get stuff done.
Strong strategy and analytical expertise. Ability to manage large data-sets and turn them into insightful business recommendations. Excellent problem-solving skills: Able to break down problems independently.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with technical and business stakeholders at all levels. You simplify the complex.
