Director Head Field Marketing Digital Cognizant London

This senior leadership (Director+ level) role is to lead Cognizant’s Field Marketing team in the UKI across all industry verticals, responsible for setting the strategic vision, management and execution of programmes in the UK with an additional focus on leading the development of Digital for Cognizant UKI.

A key objective is to develop and implement marketing strategies and plans to drive lead generation for Cognizant’s business in these sectors and enhance the Cognizant’s positioning in Digital across UK and Ireland.

Although the role is primarily focused on UK&I there will be the need to collaborate with colleagues across Europe and North America, hence experience of working across Europe and NA is required.

This role will also involve collaboration with all other industry vertical markets and will provide the opportunity for a senior marketing professional to devise the strategy and lead the implementation and delivery in cross-UK and digital programmes.

Key Objectives

Image & Awareness – enhance the external perception of Cognizant – the value proposition, offerings and point of competitive differentiation. A good experience of Digital brand building would be beneficial.

Market & Client Development – manage and deliver a number of Client Centric Marketing (CCM) campaigns & develop underpenetrated markets across the UK&I. Also promote Cognizant’s digital capabilities and offerings within existing clients as a means of revenue acceleration and key differentiation.

Lead Generation – build a local lead management process from creation, validation, qualification to follow-up to build a substantial and active deal pipeline.

Sales Support – work with the Client Partners and Sales Leads on securing the major “Must Win Deals” in the UKI region. Offer a clearly differentiated thought process to strategic and “Must Win” deals during the RFP processes to develop win strategies that bring the best of Cognizant to the proposal process.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide value-added input into concept development, budgeting, implementation and performance measurement for all UKI marketing programmes.
- Prioritise and execute joint marketing and communications with the highest priority clients that have been identified in the vertical business strategy and sales plans.
- Work closely with the Cognizant Digital Works (CDW) leadership to understand, evaluate and carve out Digital campaigns
- Provide marketing counsel to UK leadership
- Advise sales teams on ways to leverage and promote an integrated marketing & sales function
- Act as the resident marketing focal point
- Drive innovation, strategic thinking and be a leader in advancing marketing techniques and approaches in line with the Digital outlook with the end consumer in mind
- Develop a localised content
- Manage agency and contractor resources and third party service providers
- Define and track metrics to assess effectiveness of all Field Marketing programmes and initiatives.

Job Description
- Plan and manage investment and budget items. Ensure a measurable Marketing ROI.
- Ensure the integrity of UKI client databases and the input of data.
- Ensure that all global marketing policies and procedures are followed.

Work Experience:
- Experience in professional services B2B marketing and business development within across industries and specifically around Digital
- Deep and proven understanding of the consulting, technology and outsourcing industries, both within the UK and internationally.
- Prior experience in the industry Cognizant serves is vital.

General Field Marketing Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of Cognizant’s area of business and overall business strategy.
- Thorough understanding and skills in strategic Field Marketing and deep industry expertise is vital.
- Thorough understanding and ability to apply marketing concepts, branding and message development skills and drive innovation within marketing
- Global perspective and understanding of business marketplace.
- Prior experience with Salesforce and marketing automation tools.
- Promote collaboration while possessing strong project management skills – using project management tools
- Budget management and financial reporting skills.
- Passion for thought-through and well-executed deliverables in support of Cognizant business strategy.
- Negotiation, mediation and conflict management skills to resolve complex or disputed issues.
- Able to influence executives within Marketing through relationship building and executive-level presence.
- Leadership skills — supervision, mentoring and managing Cognizant specialists/analysts and contractors.
- Ability to develop and apply creative, workable solutions to project-related issues.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently.
- Ability to manage projects under tight deadlines.
