Sales Director - Exponential - London


Job description
As UK Sales Director you will lead a team of Exponential Salespeople and Divisional Specialists to deliver revenue and growth plans in our second largest market. You will report into the UK Managing Director and work alongside the European Strategic Partnerships Director (including UK trading agreements) and the UK Account Management Director as well as Network Development, Marketing, Finance and Product functions. As part of the UK leadership team you will help form our UK-specific go-to-market strategy and execution plans on how we deliver value to our agency clients and maximize the opportunity for each division of Exponential.

The existing sales team is talented, experienced, and vocal with a genuine passion for Exponential. You will lead by example through your ability to provide guidance on account strategy, your contribution to senior relationships in support of their accounts, and the structure (but not process!) you can apply to team and performance management. The objective is a team that is professional, passionate about online marketing, driven to improve and perceived as trusted advisors to our clients.

Responsibilities
Define and document plans to achieve revenue goals as well as ensure agency and account level strategies are in place
Coach the team to develop and improve their account strategies and to handle specific tactical issues and objections
Support team with senior level discussions in conjunction with the Strategic Partnerships Director.
Ensure consistency on go to market messaging and quality of delivery
Partner with Account Management to improve account retention through correct pre-sales and post-campaign follow up processes
Create a structured work environment through mature team management, performance management, and personal development practices to get the best of an experienced team and contribute to the overall culture of the UK office.

Desired Skills and Experience
Seasoned leader with demonstrated ability to build, motivate and develop a sales team combined with ability to collaborate effectively across a matrix organization.
Minimum 7 years of progressive online advertising experience.
In-depth knowledge of the UK digital landscape and contacts with top online agencies and advertisers.
Strong understanding of and ability to articulate industry trends, technologies and pricing models
Excellent understanding of agency dynamics, including campaign buying and planning
Strong knowledge of ad campaign metrics and analysis
Superior skills in all facets of the sales cycle including prospecting, negotiating, and ability to sell based on value rather than price
Understanding of audience profiles, online ad targeting and campaign optimization
Proven communication, presentation and sales skills with a knack for consultative selling
Proven record of strategic development of leading brands
