Job RequirementsWe’re looking for a General Manager Operations to join our Financial Services Team at John Lewis Head Office, London for a fixed term of seven months. In this role, you will be responsible for call center operations, customer experience, IT and change for all Financial Services (Insurance, credit card, Business Accounts, Foreign Exchange, ATMs, Loans, and John Lewis Partnership bonds).


During your time in this role, you will be Building relationships up to Director-level within the Partnership and third party providers who supply and service products on behalf of John Lewis. You will be leading a team of twelve Partner specialists, with 3 direct reports, and works as part of the John Lewis Financial Services Leadership Team, ensuring the customer is at the heart of all we do. You will also be setting and managing our operating revenue and capital budgets.
Required essential experience skills and qualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- A proven track record of successful operations management
- Experience of sponsoring complex programmes
- Developing service strategies
- A track record of industry leading both on and off-line Customer Experiences
Required desirable experience skills and qualificationsAlthough not essential, it would be desirable if you also had:
- A relevant degree (or equivalent)
- Programme and Project Management qualifications or relevant equivalent experience
- Knowledge of the Insurance and banking industries
- Experience of leading multi-site operations
