As a Portfolio Manager, your main responsibilities will involve:
• Responsibility for managing funds and client portfolios and ensure timely execution of investment decisions to generate strong risk-adjusted returns that meet clients’ expectations and goals.
• Working within established tolerances and personal authorisations based on business procedures and escalate breaches of policies/procedure appropriately.
• Being an active participant in our investment decision making forums and process as well as contributing to relevant investment committees. They are likely to be an active contributor to our Selection Committees supporting and promoting our investment culture.

• A thorough grasp of investment in equities, and some deeper knowledge of using complex instruments in portfolios (e.g. derivatives).
• Being a subject matter expert in equity analysis (companies) and portfolio management, you will be able to use experience, knowledge and judgement to develop investment strategies using both micro and macro inputs.
• A good judgement when making a range of changes and adjustments to deliver quality service to their clients and investment performance within their portfolios; as well as building portfolios based on a common set of individual client mandate/instructions.
• Being able to build portfolios and undertake a blend of various analysis and simulations around, for example, beta to index, volatility, off index positions, to understand portfolio risk and performance implication
• Leading significant and sustainable improvements across the business area and share this across the organisation and externally, where possible.
• Actively engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to track changing stakeholder expectations on business and broader sustainability (social/environmental) issues, and better understands how they can enhance or damage the reputation of the bank.
