Job description
Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager the purpose of the Stock Manager is to take overall responsibility for the stock integrity for theis multi-temperature site. To work with the wider warehouse team to ensure that plans for the distribution centre meet current/future customer service requirements and continually improve cost efficiency/quality in line with group, regional and distribution centre goals
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Ensure that stock is in the right place at the right time to meet customer demands
Management of the team responsible for stock within the warehouse
Financial control within budgetary remit – contribute to operational efficiency
To ensure that the warehouse is ‘stock optimised’ to achieve the highest productivity targets
Stock integrity – ensure that the distribution centre stock is recorded and held in line with company policies
Input into stores layout – achieve maximum productivity and operational efficiencies
Reconciliation of stock on a monthly basis
Identify/minimise stock loss and accurately report this inline with company policies
Promotion of good stock handling processes
Supply chain liaison - continuously asses stock holding/sales cover and review with supply chain
Customer service
Specified project management
Operational strategy in line with distribution centre goals
Desired Skills and Experience
5 yrs management experience in a warehouse operation
Man management
Educated to HND/Degree Level
MS Office – minimum of intermediate Excel, Word, Outlook. PowerPoint
Experience of dealing with planning issues
Good analytical skills
Change manager
