OPPORTUNITY
As a Director within Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for growing our strategic alliance in the marketplace.

The alliance has the potential to dominate the operational consulting market by offering clients a ground-breaking new capability. RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Directors lead the team by developing team direction and strategy, selling and leading delivery of client engagements and managing operations.

You will be expected to take responsibility in three key areas:

(1) Business Development

(2) Practice Development

(3) People and Operations


Business Development Responsibilities:

- Generating sales to hit an individual and team revenue target with Operations work.

- Developing and selling new opportunities to grow the business and replace existing projects.

- Build and develop strong relationships with target clients and understand the key issues affecting them to develop targeted proposals.

- Selling opportunities that incorporate solutions and teams from the wider firm

- Developing and maintaining relationships at board level.

- Leading and overseeing delivery of multiple cross-functional, Operational Excellence-McLaren engagements, leading teams drawn from across wider firm to deliver the full value chain of a project from strategy through to implementation and improvement.

- Practice Development Responsibilities:

- Guiding and informing the development of new propositions and technologies through knowledge gained in the market place.

- Identifying new solutions and offerings that address the latest client issues.


People and Operations Responsibilities:

- Performance management responsibilities, with responsibility for annual goal-setting and appraisal for between 3-5 senior delivery staff

- Managing and improving on key operational indicators within the wider business

- From an engagement perspective, ensuring projects are run with the targeted levels of financial performance

Desired Skills and Experience
SKILLS

- Excellent and proven track record of selling Operational Excellence work in the marketplace.

- Have strong credentials with regards to innovative methodology development.

- Strong experience of delivering lean/six sigma methodologies – accreditation would be an advantage

- Experience with data analytics

- Educated to degree level or equivalent; postgraduate or professional qualification (e.g. MBA/CIPS/CILT) is advantageous.

- Proven track record of generating sales from Operational Excellence/Operational Consulting

- Robust credentials in strategy development and implementation.

- Proven ability to think innovatively around the application of new technologies to operational excellence methodologies

- Excellent problem solving skills, ability to analyse complex data, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate and reach appropriate conclusions/solutions

- Strong communicator with the personal skills to build strong and lasting client relationships and manage a wide range of stakeholders

- Proven ability to understand rapidly clients' issues and provide appropriate solutions
