Director EMEA Payment Operations ADP Crawley

Job Description:
This specific position builds upon the vision for a global Money Movement function with centralized control and oversight for key payment operations and payroll disbursement activity in international locations. The incumbent will work closely with the VP of International Money Movement and the Senior Director, Global Center of Enablement in the review, assessment and provision of payment services in the Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) regions with physical location in Chertsey, Surrey, London and required travel to other sites. The position will also seek to form and maintain key relationships with, external financial partners, Country Service and Finance management, create internal service level agreements (SLA's) and standardize financial control functions across the geographic landscape.
The Director, EMEA Payment Operations will provide a single point of contact and governance for the oversight of Client funds financial control and payment activities within the EU / UK regions for current core IMMS money movement. The incumbent will develop and maintain key control processes and reporting for updates to senior management to ensure daily financial control of Client funds movement activity and support the roll out and conversion of services including payroll source deductions for income tax (i.e. PAYE), retirement savings (Auto Enrolment, Automatic 3 rd Party) and net salary payments. The individual will also support project initiatives related to the establishment of a second side operation in our Cheadle (Manchester) location and expansion / development efforts across the EMEA region.

The Director EMEA Payment Operations is responsible for providing the following:

Strategic Planning, Delivery and Execution

• Ongoing strategic direction, planning and management of the payment operations functions within the EMEA country operations and work initiatives related to ADP's Client funds operations on the IMMS system in this geography.

• Foster the global operations vision by creating and driving standardization and process innovation initiatives in all core IMM and non-core in-country money movement payment areas across EMEA.

• Build upon our world class IMM resiliency operations plan with continuous review and periodic testing of said plans to ensure continuity in all EMEA locations with focus on standardization and enhancement.

• Maintain and foster an environment that supports critical financial control and required interface with Financial Partners and in-country Finance management while enhancing and accelerating business growth.

Relationship Management / Service Excellence

• Provide leadership, guidance and development of Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and financial control standards within EMEA Client Funds / Payment operations (UK, NL, FR).

• Develop and foster relations with international Senior Business and Finance Management (i.e. President GM's, CIO's, CFO's) for appropriate dashboard and financial reporting with a focus on key metrics and performance management.

• Direct the team in ensuring the appropriate reviews of daily operations for financial control in all EMEA payment locations and work closely with in-country Finance management on the clearing and prevention of exception or aged items.

Leadership

• Responsible for coaching, performance management and succession planning for EMEA Payment Operations Associates to ensure continuity of operations, promote individual development plans (IDP's) and support to the business growth.

• Capable of managing multiple payment and control initiatives and competing priorities for new and existing countries.

• Provide Leadership to the EMEA Payment Operations team members working with the country specific Finance and IT / CIO teams to ensure support of the effortless Client experience while maintaining essential financial Control.

Project Management / Intelligence / Governance

• Ongoing analysis, planning and support to ADP's International Money Movement key projects for EMEA and priority deliverables (eg. New Country build, addition of partner Banks, key IMMS business enhancements and conversion).

• Planning and support to developmental work initiatives related to ADP's International Money Money Movement System (IMMS) for payments / receipts processing, tax and third party remittance services for EMEA to achieve global objectives.

• On-going assessment and review of department documentation and the engineering of business processes throughout EMEA payment operations with provision for resiliency in the second site (Cheadle / Manchester).

• Act as principle point of coordination and tracking for Business Process Innovation (BPI) => 'The ADP Way' process improvement initiatives for EMEA Payment operations in conjunction with IMM Shared Services and AVS BPI team.

• Assist with overall coordination of audit (SOC1 / SOX) and resiliency initiatives in support of the control and compliance requirements for the department across EMEA country sites (i.e currently UK, NL and FR).

Education/Qualifications

• 10+ years of Management experience in (Finance or IT / Financial management of an ERP environment).
• Mandatory Undergraduate Degree (Business or IT) and MBA preferred.
• Financial Industry Services courses/designations preferred (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Knowledge of global banking rules (eg. UK Payments, BACS, SEPA)
• Experience working with agile methodology strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a Human Capital Management (HCM) or similar Financial Services domain is an asset.
• Ability to communicate effectively to impact and influence senior leaders and internal / external clients.
• Capability of managing multiple stakeholders on the best course of action for the product.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required.
• Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and influence to sell ideas internally and externally.
• Ability to implement concepts, ideas and plans while functioning in a flexible, constantly changing environment.
• Must demonstrate the abilities to be a strong coach, collaborator, team player as well as an individual contributor.
• Fluency in other languages is an asset (French, Dutch).
