Job Description:
The global cattle vaccine director will be responsible for defining and leading the implementation of an aggressive strategic growth plan for Elanco Animal Health Cattle Vaccines, built on growing and expanding existing business, brands and geographies as well as developing an attractive pipeline of PLE’s and actively pursuing Business Development opportunities. This position will play a critical leadership role in the execution of the Elanco Vaccine bet.
Define and implement the overall cattle vaccine strategy across geographies
Lead the development of targets for R&D cattle PLE’s in close collaboration with the global marketing
Manage existing brands, launches and implement product rationalization plans
In partnership with the regions develop commercialization models for the demand realization Matrix accountability for cattle vaccine sales across Elanco’s regions
People leadership
Define, establish and lead the Elanco cattle vaccines lead team
Coordinate global cattle vaccine positioning and leadership for Elanco
Provide strong influence to key stakeholders in the matrix and demonstrate strong organization agility to ensure that the plans for cattle vaccines are effectively executed across all geographies and functions
Guide and support affiliate plans to grow existing business and add cattle vaccine into the product portfolio
BD&L
Identify, cultivate and drive completion of business development opportunities
Guide acquisition of cattle vaccine assets
Serve as the voice of the business for the acquisition of vaccine technology working with business development
Innovation
Work closely with marketing and R&D to ensure the pipeline for Cattle vaccine meets the business needs
Serve as commercial representative on the vaccine product development steering team
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
8 years experience in animal health
3 years experience in cattle vaccine

Additional Skills/Preferences
Sound experience in commercialization animal health vaccines, especially cattle.
Global Experience operating and influencing without control in a matrix organization
Demonstrated ability to run a successful business
Displays inter-personals skills consistent with Elanco’s cultural and leadership attributes.
Must be fluent in English
Strong influence and effectiveness in building relationships and driving core projects across functions
Experience in working with R&D and manufacturing
Strong awareness of cultural sensitivities and diversity across geographies

Reports to: Senior Director, Global Vaccine Business leader
No direct reports but strong matrix leadership for cattle vaccines matrix team members
Global travel (25 to 50%)
