The focus of this role is to manage major Technology Transformation Programmes in the
Insurance and Investment Management sector, to generate sales and provide input to the Technolog
y Enablement leadership team. Additionally you will assist in positioning KPMG as a market leader and to differentiate KPMG from its competitors. You will be required to lead complex engagements and manage a team of KPMG professionals both on engagements and within the office, providing coaching to ensure excellent client delivery and career development.

g clients. An understanding of the key business issues and technology landscapes used in such organisations is required to enable CIO Board level engagement. You will have responsibilities to build and sustain an effective network with Partners and Directors across KPMG’s advisory practices to ensure they understand the role Technology plays in the business transformations being undertaken by clients. Seeing Technology Enablement as a highly relevant and critical business partner, able to support them in meeting their client’s needs and to help deliver their business plans.
Key performance metrics will be to generate and deliver annual sales of £2-3m, to lead successful delivery of technology transformation projects, contribute to the practice development and develop specific propositions to support the growth of the Technology Enablement practice.
Within Technology Enablement, Directors use their industry knowledge and subject matter expertise to lead and drive advisory services around the following capabilities:
Project and programme management
Strategic architectures
Business analysis
Data
Testing
Business / systems migrations
Qualifications and Skills
- Deep technical and business knowledge within the
Insurance and/or Investment Management sectors
- Ability to deliver large complex programmes in Insurance and/or Investment Management
- Strong business / relationship development skills
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence at the highest level
- Ability to identifying and converting sell-on opportunities or new client sales
Experience
Directors within Technology Enablement use their business knowledge and technology skills to drive business development and to lead client engagements. Specific experience will include:
- Business and technology architectures
- Technology enabled business transformation
- Project portfolio management
- Programme and project management, building high-performing teams
- Business and technical migration
- Data governance, management, assurance, analysis and mining
Directors will also contribute significantly to the leadership and development of the Technology Enablement Practice, and will have experience of:
- Business strategy and planning
- Financial management
- People development
- Developing, launching and leading market propositions / industry thought leadership
You must be able to demonstrate that you understand the sector and the issues our clients are facing. Successful candidates will also display a combination of the following:
- Strong market network with a track record of selling and delivering large multi-disciplinary projects
- An excellent track record in managing complex programmes with a focus on delivering measurable impact to the client
- Extensive experience planning, designing and shaping projects, managing progress, resolving issues and limiting risks in highly complex, diverse and cross-border environments
Excellent communications skills
