Job Description:
The position is for a senior member of Oracle Cloud Platform Center of Excellence (COE) team reporting to the Senior Director of Cloud Platform COE within Oracle Product Development organization. Working with our highest profile clients, you will be hire number 4 in a specialist global "SWAT" team that takes direct mandate from Oracle’s President of Product Development.

This is a new, exciting and diverse role with interfaces across many areas of Oracle globally, as well as with our high profile customers. You will use your in-depth knowledge of Oracle's product suite and your background in managing enterprise software teams to enable our high profile clients to maximize their use of our product stack and world-class cloud products.

The role involves working closely with Customers/Partners as well as the Oracle teams supporting them (Customer Success Managers, Sales Consulting, Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Pursuit to drive successful adoption of Oracle Cloud Platform services. As part of the COE, the individual will be responsible to facilitate functional and technical solutions that lie within the purview of Product Development and Cloud Operations. This will require working in a cross-functional environment spanning, Support, Engineering, Cloud Operations and business teams like Global Process Organizations and Sales Operations. The individual should be able to quickly understand requirements and engage relevant teams to deliver solutions. Solution scope can span different activities including, identification and resolution of bugs, fast delivery of patches, resolution of feature/functionality/process gaps, and offering customers technical guidance to jump start projects or move to new phase of service roll-out. The individual will have to collaborate with other members of the COE to deliver their overall objectives, i.e. drive services adoption and successful implementations with Processes and Best Practices, Service Stability and Enhancements, Knowledge Management and Escalation Management. It will be important for the individual to develop an excellent network across the different functions and virtual teams to drive solutions quickly.

The successful candidate will be expected to travel around 25% of the time, mainly across Europe.



Desired Skills and Experience
Professional qualifications and skills:

• Good knowledge of some or all of the following: Oracle Databases, Middleware, Enterprise Manager, Cloud and Platform-as-a-Service

• Proven track record of customer escalations and program management

• Conceptualizing, high-value data analysis, high-fidelity reporting, global program management, customer management experience highly desired



Educational background and competence:

• Engineering, MBA or equivalent degree with strong general business acumen

• Effective program management skills, ability to adapt to change and prioritize to meet tight deadlines

• Very strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Team player / leader, experience in working with multi-cultural and virtual teams

• Strong knowledge of applicable technology trends; in particular Platform as a Service (PaaS) involving Oracle technologies like Database, Middleware and Enterprise Manager

• Prior experience in cloud computing, enterprise software, technology consulting, high-performing corporate IT department, or managing large technology projects is desirable

• Ability to effectively and credibly serve as a senior representative of the Product Development organization in a large corporation
