EMEA Communications Director - Dell - Bracknell

Job description
The EMEA communications director role is a regional function, leading a team of approximately 12 across EMEA and emerging markets. The team member will report into the Executive Director of Solutions Communications, who is based in Austin, Texas (laddering to the Vice President for all of Dell Communications). The role includes comms support for the leadership team within EMEA and very close integration with the Solutions Communications team (ie. client, software, enterprise, services).

The EMEA communications lead is tasked with leading the team on a variety of areas including: business and trade media; speaking opportunities; bylines and op-eds; social media and coordination with internal and analyst relations teams as well as exec comms.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Maintain consistent external and internal comms activity

- Execute on exec comms strategy for EMEA leadership team

- Experience with crisis communications, partnering with Corporate Comms

- Host visiting senior executives (direct reports to Michael Dell) from outside of the region for media/analyst activities

- Drive and execute pan-EMEA events for media and analysts

- Assist in developing keynote content for quarterly pan-EMEA events/Global events

- Ensure team is executing on product launches, customer stories

- Close liaison with the solutions comms leads (all US based)

- Manage budgets on a quarterly basis

QualificationsQualifications:

- BA/BS or equivalent experience

- 10-12 years experience in communications with a bias to the enterprise tech industry

- Experience with running a pan-EMEA function, ideally including emerging markets

- Strong management skills, commitment to spend time to grow the team

- Demonstrated creativity in driving exec comms/thought leadership activity

- Write and communicate clearly, strong powerpoint skills is a plus

- Strong executive presence while providing counsel

- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

- You’re a self-starter and innovator who loves running with things while keeping key stakeholders updated on progress, opportunities and issues.
